A trusted, expert advisor on branding and communications strategy, Karen Buck helps clients accomplish their goals through strategic thinking and creative execution. As a lead strategist, she creates the focus and structure necessary to translate client marketing and communications objectives into effective, cohesive and award-winning brand and communications campaigns across media and channels.
Before joining Zehno in 2001 as a production designer for print and web, Karen taught high-school English in New Orleans through Teach for America, served as an in-house communications manager for a nonprofit, and worked as a web designer for an IT consulting firm. From her work at Zehno and as a consultant, she has won 140+ regional and national awards from CASE, UCDA, Higher Education Marketing Report and Educational Advertising Awards.
In her downtime, Karen experiments with printmaking and textiles. She enjoys throwing dinner parties built around never-before-attempted dishes (verdict? usually edible). She also volunteers as a communications consultant with Locally Haiti and the St. Luke Foundation for Haiti.
